Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 8HH
From the Promoter:
AGGREGATE 100 a mix between American gravel racing and MTB Enduro.
The race is being held at The New Inn, Cropton, home of The Great Yorkshire Brewery on the North York Moors on the weekend of the 5th and 6th August (tbc)
Saturday is a chance to meet and eye up your fellow competitors with The Dog Show, don’t worry it doesn’t involve any dogs at all! We’ve all been to fancy bike shows but this time it’s your chance to let your bike shine by entering our mutt show for bikes. Will you be winning a rosette for “Glossiest Coat” or “Most Appealing Smile” (That’s bike built up from a stock frame and complete bike, just in case you were guessing).
The bar is open in the camping field with beers and entertainment and street food, just don’t party too hard before Sunday’s race.
Sunday is all about the race. AGGREGATE100 is open to solo riders or pairs. The scoring is taken from the aggregate time across all four race sections. Each segment is different with various aggregate surfaces (obviously, see what we did there) including the ancient route Rudland Rigg high up on the moor before winding down the cinder track of the old railway then into Cropton Forest.
Two feed stations on route, but expect more than just Clifbar, we’ll have the Sheriff on hand to stop the ruffians!
And no, you don’t even need a gravel bike but we hear all the cool kids do!
