Hokah Hilly Hundred — Sunday, August 18th

A hellacious hundred kilometers nicknamed “Triple H” — Hokah, Minnesota to New Albin, Iowa and back with 2 timed sections.  This mixed-gravel route heads south towards Iowa, climbing and descending the ridges and valleys at the edges of the Driftless region.
Approximately 5,000 feet of climbing
Distance:  67.1 miles

La Crosse Area Bicycle Fest — September 1-3

Saturday September, 1st – Mini Donut Gravel Enduro

3 timed gravel sections and a stop in Houston for mini-donuts (with time bonuses for the most donuts eaten, of course).  Just over 40% of the route is on gravel, making this course harder than you might think — climbing over 4,000 feet with six major hills, this is no ride in the park. But it is a ride through scenic, hilly Minnesota backcountry!
Over 4,000 feet of climbing
Distance:  78 miles

Sunday, September 2nd – Galactic Gravel Climbers Championship (L-N-L Route)

This route is our version of a European Classic. With five steep climbs and six gravel sections, it’s becoming quite popular with those looking for a new challenge.
Approximately 4,000 feet of climbing
Distance: 65 miles

Monday, September 3rd – Gravel Espresso

A mixed-gravel version of our favorite Labor Day ride to Houston, the Gravel Espresso is the shortest of the gravel routes over Labor Day Bike Fest — so let’s call it a recovery ride!
Approximately 2,700 feet of climbing
Distance: 57 miles

Root River Rampage, September 15-16th

Group Tent Camping in Houston available — join us for a weekend of gravel, or choose any single ride!

Saturday, September 15th – Houston Hills South

This hilly route has six big climbs making up 2,255 ft of the total climbing of 5,043 ft with a lot of big and small rollers in between. The nine gravel sections contribute 46.4 miles or just over 60% of the 76.2 mile route. Rest stops in Caledonia and Hokah divide the ride into three sections with 30 miles or less between breaks.
Distance: Swede Bottom 52, 76, and 102 miles options

Sunday, September 16th – Houston Hills North

Choose either of these routes:

56 Miles – Ridgeway Rampage
It’s a fast charge through the gravel backroads, bluffs, and ridges north of Houston, Minnesota. At just over 55 miles, this exploration of the gravel roads of Houston County gives a quick taste of the challenges and delights available when you ride off the beaten path. But don’t sleep on these climbs! Approximately 2,500 feet of climbing
Distance: 55.6 miles

41 Miles – Money Creek Mixed
Shorter than the Ridgeway Rampage, this route hits some of the same gravel and climbs to the north of Houston.
40.8 miles, 2000 ft. climbing, 5 gravel sections (28.4 miles, 70%).
Approximately 2,000 feet of climbing
Distance: 40.8 miles
