From the Promoter:
New for 2019 is the Lazy Horse 50k and 100k Gravel Grind! This non-competitive bicycle tour of Southeast Nebraska will feature some of the most scenic and challenging routes available in the Fillmore, Jefferson and Thayer County area.
We plan on having a wet or dry route in the event of weather in the days leading up to the tour. Expect several minimum maintenance roads, truss bridges, pea gravel, challenging climbs out of the Little Blue River and Big Sandy Creek valleys, in addition to several low water crossing. Additionally, (weather permitting) we hope to have a mowed private pasture crossing!!!
All routes start and finish at our facility located at 211 Road 20, Ohiowa, Nebraska
Please be aware that parking is limited at our facility and overflow parking is encouraged from Grace Lutheran Church: 1920 Road W, Ohiowa, Nebraska.
Our routes will take you through several towns along the way to allow you to take a break and grab some light snacks. There will also be some smaller remote stops located along the route. We will have a support vehicle should you have any mechanical failures.
Our ride date is May 18th, 2019 with check-in from 6:30am until the event starts at 8:30am. Please be prompt, as we WILL roll out on time, and our volunteers intend to enjoy the scenery of the tour with everyone!!!
