From the Promoter:

Started in 2015 as ‘the Dirty Prouty’, this 103 mile, ~11,000 feet of total elevation gain, Vermont dirt road ride was offered under the ‘Virtual Prouty’ banner as an extremely tough-option to the all-paved Prouty road ride options (25, 50, 100 and 200 mile ‘Ultimate’) for those people who wanted to suffer AND raise money for the the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Prouty fund-raising event.

All participants must fundraise a minimum of $100 for The Prouty, via the Virtual Prouty team link for The Dirty Project. After you register here, you will also need to sign up for the Virtual Prouty to meet your $100 fundraising minimum requirement. 100% of funds raised support the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Follow this link to sign up for the Virtual Prouty and meet your $100 fundraising minimum: http://dhmc.convio.net/goto/thedirtyproject2019

Please note, this is an extremely challenging, but low key event run by a small volunteer community whose main focus is raising money for Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock via The Prouty. Even though we have support and rest stops, you need to be independent-minded and willing to self-support during the event. Riders are given cue sheets and GPS files, but there is no course marking. Individual riders to be able to handle themselves on various dirt/gravel road conditions, and over long distances and steep climbs. The main goals for all participants are raising money ($100 minimum or more) and having fun on a very challenging course.
