The New Grit

The MY24 Bossi Grit is a complete revamp, with quality-of-life upgrades throughout the platform, expanded compatibility and adaptability, and substantial weight trimming from the base titanium frame. We’ve changed almost everything between the rear derailleur mount and front thru-axle. Nearly every tube, junction, mount point, and interface is updated.”

“Gravel bike design lacked clarity in market expectations when we launched the Grit SX in 2021. Now that the gravel category has matured, and most customers have realised that they won’t replace their road bike, the new Grit can exist in its purist adventure form, unapologetically gravel.”  – James Bossi

Our new head tube design is compatible with any integrated and non-integrated cockpit pairing a 1.5″ lower bearing with a ZS44mm upper. This allows the installation of a 1.5” upper for full integration or a 1.125” for semi-internal. Our riders wanted more choice – and we are happy to oblige.”

“The new hybrid tapered headtube design future proofs this frame for any innovation in full integration while remaining backwards compatible with standard cockpits.”

Does your dream build feature a slammed, one-piece bar and stem with invisible cables? Would you prefer a suspension stem with riser bars? Perhaps you’re a traditionalist who wants round bars and stems with cables and hoses on the outside? All of that is possible. The new universal entry ports on the frame let our Aussie and Euro / USA customers easily route braking and shifting lines on either side without tricky bends or hose contortions.”

Advanced manufacturing techniques are driving impressive weight savings. Switching from a CNC to 3D-printed yoke and dropouts and from straight-gauge to double-butted tubes shaved over 150 grams from the base frame. As a bonus, fewer ingress points around the bottom bracket and rear stays have improved water and dirtproofing.”

We’ve hedged our technology bets with Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and SRAM T-type Transmission compatibility. UDH makes it easier to find spares wherever you are and attach any standard rear derailleur from the big brands.”

SRAM Transmission compatibility opens the Grit to the new generation of bomb-proof Eagle rear derailleurs. SRAM’s 1x ecosystem is growing more popular on our gravel builds and T-Type derailleurs are an ideal accompaniment to our robust titanium frames. We’ve removed the braze-on derailleur tab to reflect the popularity of 1x drivetrains, while the rounded seat tube makes band-on mounts easy to add for 2x fans.”

The upgraded Carbon Gravel Fork emerges from an all-new mould. It has triple cage and full fender mounts, internal hose routing, a replaceable axle thread, and clearance for 50c tyres (and well beyond) for maximum utility. We’ve kept the 50mm default offset and removed the flip chip.”

The frame is ready for all of your attachables thanks to rack and fender mounts, extra bottle cage bosses on the top tube and beneath the bottom bracket, and routing for a dynamo hubs and cable-actuated dropper post.”
