Continuing the development of in-house production, 3T adds a new model to its made-in-Italy portfolio: the Strada Italia, a road bike for all roads, which aims to maximize the rider’s performance with a perfect balance between comfort and aerodynamics. The Strada Italia sports a design optimized around tires with a 30-35mm WAM (Width As Measured), a fitting studied to enable strong riders to maximize their performance, and aerodynamic tube shapes designed to optimize the speed in real-world conditions. –

A Tailored Carbon Layup for Reactivity, Handing, & Comfort

The filament winding and RTM technologies shared with its fellow 3T Italia models, the RaceMax and Extrema, allowed the engineers of the Bergamo-based brand to have complete control over the carbon layup process. The result is a frame that significantly enhances the on-the-bike experience:

Aerodynamics for Real Riders & Aero Maximization

At 3T, comfort and aerodynamics go hand in hand. An aerodynamic bike is useless if the rider cannot stay in an aerodynamic position. Without the right fit, this becomes an impossible chore. Cockpit choice and flexibility play an important role here. 3T has used its Integrale technology, Aeroflux carbon bars, and carbon MORE stem to allow the rider to find the best position for their ride while concealing the hydraulic hoses internally.”

Once the rider has their position dialled in, the frame becomes the next most significant factor for aerodynamic resistance. Considering the new UCI regulations on frame shapes, 3T has pushed the boundaries to maximize the frame’s aerodynamic performance. This is visually obvious at the headtube, where the deep yet narrow profile maximizes aerodynamic efficiency at the bike’s front end. A downtube developed to shield bottles, together with deeper and thinner profiles, perfectly complete the package.”
