“The new bikes are still built around the same award-winning Grail frame that has become a huge favourite in the gravel scene in recent years – but now, they are combined with the newest offerings from Shimano and SRAM, including Shimano’s one-by GRX gearing and a wide-range version of SRAM’s 2x Force eTap AXS Wide groupset.” – Canyon
The new Grail 7 1by features Shimano’s new single-chainring GRX drivetrain. Combining a 40-tooth chainring with a 11-42 cassette for a huge 381% gear range, the setup is designed to meet the rigours of all-terrain riding.
Another new and notable addition is the Fizik Argo saddle, with a short-nose design for maximum comfort on long rides featured on all bikes in the range.
The bikes will be available from Tuesday 25 August on canyon.com. There will be seven models offered in the US, ranging from the Grail 6 at $US 1,699 through to the Grail CF SLX 8 Di2 at $US 5,299.
Unfortunately, we have no photos available of the SRAM equipped Grails at the time of this article. Should that change, this article will be updated, thank you.
I ‘m waiting for some enterprising third party to make custom stems for this bike so that you can put your own handlebars on it.

I’m personally interested to see what the hype is about the hover-bar, as I’ve not had the opportunity to ride one, due to missing out on the last demo day…
