“A visual connection on symbolic planes. Through this, it is possible to understand the design of the Repete Verne bike, which was created in connection with the launch of a novel product by the Italian manufacturer, Campagnolo. The brand is making history as they release their first single-chainring gravel groupset, EKAR 1×13, designed for off-road riding. We were given the opportunity to test the groupset in advance on Czech trails. It is the iconic marking of the trails that inspired the motif of this unique bike.” – Repete
“Graphic designer, Martin Kolerus, is behind the visual appearance of the frame. The graphic elements are based on the unique Czech tourist trail markings, unifying the tricolor representations of both countries. The green arrow, like a solitaire, offset from the remaining elements, points to the crankset at the center, and draws attention to the essential components of the bike. The white background color intentionally goes against the “merging with nature” convention. It takes the form of a clean canvas ready for visual recording of diverse terrain in any conditions.”
“The graphic element at the top of the head tube is based on the history of the Campagnolo brand, namely the two symbols, the capital letter C and the star. These inherited elements bear the original colors, and with the use of the Topol corporate font, both brands, Repete and Campagnolo, are combined to form a graceful whole.”
“The Verne, our all-terrain gravel model is a fast, comfortable, and maneuverable bike for convenient and agile riding on any surface. Clear the boundary between road and trail riding and let the hour journeys turn to day trips. The frame itself is made from high strength Columbus Spirit HSS steel, which gives this bike the most essential characteristics – perfect rigidity, long life, and unique comfort. The technical details determine the nature of our products and their design is based on function.”
“The 44mm headtube and T47 bottom bracket ensure ideal energy transfer. We developed our stainless steel flat-mount dropouts to accommodate the use of disc brakes and thru-axles. Our internal cable routing is compatible with both mechanical and electronic shifting. The shaped rear stay provides a large variability of tire clearance – up to 700×40c or 650×47c. A more comfortable stack/reach 1.55 geometry makes it possible to spend an entire day in the saddle with ease. The Verne can be selected in several configurations, two colors, and six frame sizes.”
