“Unconditional ” Bontrager guarantee is pure bullshit. Read the fine print ” all returns must be in “new” condition! Try it on a ride — then you can’t return it! How else can you decide if a shoe, saddle, etc. works for you without riding? I don’t mind if a manufacturer can’t accept returns of equipment or clothing that can’t be re-sold as “new”. I do mind however, if they brag and advertise an “unconditional satisfaction” guarantee.
Sounds like a bad shop. I’ve returned three different “used” items to a Trek store that were Bontrager branded and it was hassle free with a full refund each time.
