In this video, JOM of Gravel Cyclist begins a ride in Hatsfield, Indiana, a little outside of Evansville. Recorded in April of 2024, the area had seen many storms and heavy flooding a few days before JOM’s arrival. Consequently, some of the mixed-surface, and in some cases, paved roads that comprised the route, were affected by local area flooding.
Bring your Plan B, C, D or more?
JOM relied on his Garmin 1040 cycling computer to effect various re-routes, and his trusty Android phone, before inevitably, he had to return to the ride start. Sometimes you win, and sometimes, not so much.
