Pressure Mapping Technology at Work

“We use pressure mapping technology to visualize pressure points on the saddle surface. The illustration above shows a rider’s hot spots before molding the saddle and a significant reduction after the molding is complete. Resulting in unhindered performance for longer due to improved weight distribution and increased comfort, Reform saddle is changing the game.”

Every Saddle is Custom: “Mike Perreten and Tom Edstrand started making Landyachtz skateboards in a basement in 1997. Through many years of hard work and innovative thinking, Landyachtz has substantially impacted how people skateboard and develop skate products –  https://www.landyachtz.com

“In 2015 Mike was putting a lot of miles on his road bike. On one occasion he pushed his body to its absolute limit during a race to Whistler, BC. His whole body was suffering but the pain from his saddle was the most significant. It got him thinking about why there have been so many developments in cycling, yet the saddle seemed relatively unchanged. Coming from a competitive ski racing background, Mike experienced the importance of ski boot moulding and the difference comfort can make in performance. The wheels started turning on how to make a mouldable saddle.”

The Seymour Saddle

“The Reform, Seymour, is a thermo-mouldable, high-performance, bike saddle designed for cyclists who strive to get the most out of every ride. The nature of the dynamic, on-bike moulding process allows the Seymour to mitigate points of unwanted pressure, ensure direct and equal weight distribution and balance asymmetry in both the body and pedal stroke, giving you a true custom saddle feel. By moulding the saddle to change its shape we achieve a performance saddle that does not forgo comfort.”
